In order for this to work Confirmation on Alter Reservation Properties must be enabled on the grid properties button.

. Selecting on the Caption of a grid selects all rows on the grid

Entering an invalid asset name in the request properties form is properly handled

The drop down menu for locations works correctly on the request information screen.

In the read-only version selecting on the intray with the right mouse button or with either mouse button with the shift, alt, or ctrl key pressed will display a read-only browser of the existing requests.

Selecting a row from any table gives the table the focus, allowing the delete key to function correctly

Multiple row deletes are available on all editable data tables. Confirmation is asked before deleting rows.

The reservation administration select now has the option of selecting only future reservations for editing

In reservation administration it is now possible, by leaving the name field blank, to edit, delete, or modify all unnamed notes of a particular category for the selected reservations.

Right-clicking on most grids and list boxes will show a form allowing you to change the font characteristics.

There are now three optional fields available for reservations. The optional fields are defined as 20 characters of free text. To enable them use the language editor to create synonyms in your language (usually ENU) for the strings "ReservationCode1", "ReservationCode2", and "ReservationCode3". The synonyms should be what you wish the descriptive prompt for the optional code to be. As there are additional fields to the database the database update program (dataupd.exe) must be run after upgrading from prior to 2.0.17.

The latest maintenance releases of Crystal Reports and True DBGrid have been included. Since these are system components they should be installed in the Windows\System Directory. The recommended path is to perform a full install.

Confirm on Delete and Alter Properties settings correctly persistent from one session to another.

When Closing the Person, Area, Event Type or Organization tables list boxes on other forms will correctly reflect the changes without needing to perform a database re-read. (It will still be necessary to do a database re-read to see changes made by others to these tables)

If you reply yes the single new reservation will have all of the properties of the earlier reservation except for whether it is permanent, which will be taken from the later reservation. This allows you to, among other things, undo a gap placed in a reservation.

2.0.32 was shipped to some customers but not posted as an official release for downloading. It contained most, but not all, of the minor enhancements and fixes included in 2.0.33

2.0.33 Bug Fixes and Enhancements:

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from any version to 2.0.33)

(Extended users with Extended Locator) Fixed problem with storing of level information for locator

(Extended users with Extended Locator) Levels are now stored as full, rather than relative path names, eliminating the need to have the working directory set to the location of the level bitmaps.

(Extended Locator) Names sort down, then across like Time and Place Extended

(Extended Locator) New Properties selection from the pop-up menu allows setting of all major properties without needing to edit the registry.

(Extended Locator) Self-Reservation can be enabled only for particular weekday and weekend hours.

(Extended) The Daily Reports can now also be run for any selected future or past date.

(Extended Locator) New "Big Button" Mode for use with touch screens. To fully accommodate touch screens the scroll bar should be set to a large width in the control panel.

(32 Bit) Requests can now include both notes and attendees. Users with the Read-only version can add notes and attendees to requests when the request is made only.

(32 Bit) The User version of Time and Place can now be set to only allow reservations to be made for one Area. Assets not defined for that area will always appear disqualified. To enable this feature the registry setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\T&P\Display\FilterArea should be set to the name of the area. It is also necessary, of course, to define which assets belong to which area, although area restrictions do not need to be enabled.

2.0.34 Enhancements, Extended Only:

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from any version to 2.0.34)

(Extended) Additional fields added for second extensions and SL100 features. These fields will be needed for a future product.

These searches will be faster than having an 'All' named event type or area.

(32 Bit) Quick Reports can now allow you to set the report title and to set the paper to either landscape or portrait. Column widths have been adjusted to minimize occurrences of fields overlapping.

(32 Bit) Problems with automatic notes solved. Automatic notes are now saved correctly with assets and are correctly generated when a reservation's event type is changed. However when a reservation's location or event type is changed the system does not try to remove old automatic notes as there is no way of knowing which may still be desired.

2.0.36 Bug Fixes and Enhancements

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from prior to 2.0.35 to 2.0.36)

(32 Bit) Compiled using VB5SP3

(Extended) Quick Reports, identical to quick reports in Time and Place 32 Bit, added to Time and Place Extended.

2.0.37 Bug Fixes and
Enhancements

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from 2.0.35 or earlier to 2.0.37 for regular users and when upgrading from 3.0.36 or earlier to 2.0.37 for extended users)

(New Setup Programs Posted 3/19/97) Correctly senses Windows NT systems and will install a NT appropriate version of Ctl3d32.dll. In addition the 32 bit setup program has clearer syntax for setting the Area Filter feature of the user version. Because this change only involves the setup, and none of the actual programs it is still posted as 2.0.37

(32 Bit) View whole day and view whole week have been enhanced to allow view 2 days, view 3 days, view 2 weeks, etc.

(32 Bit) The user version now can be restricted to only allow the user to change rooms in a particular area. The area names and the rooms which are part of them will need to be defined in the Admin Version but the restrictions need not be enabled.

(32 bit and Extended) New feature on file menu allows users to close and reopen the database. This can be used to insure that all locks are released.

(Extended) Improved Keyboard Navigation. Entering <ctrl><letter> on the main screen will jump to the tab for that letter. (For example ctrl-P will jump to the P tab.) Numbers 1 through 6 will jump to the tabs beyond Z used for locations, areas, etc. Once a tab is selected entering the first few characters of a name will jump the list of items to the first matching name. Hitting Enter when an item is selected will open it. Thus it should be possible to navigate to and open any item with only a few keystrokes.

(Extended) Improved Keyboard Navigation, Select Screen. When an person, room, etc. is opened the first item on the reservation list, if any, will be selected. The selected item can then be moved up or down using the up or down arrow keys. The Delete key will delete a selected reservation. Keyboard function key shortcuts are provided for the most common reservation actions. (New, Change Start, Change End, Move, Gap, etc.) These can be seen from the pop-up Tool-Tips. (Extended, Service Administration) Additional Daily Report showing both the reservations starting for a room and the reservations ending.

(Extended, Service Administration) Additional option on the reservation starts, ends and combined reports for a brief format.

(Extended Locator) The locator included another tab, with a printer icon, that can be used to define other points of interest, such as printers, fax machines, copiers, and so forth. To define such a piece of equipment in Time and Place Extended Add an Asset, Set the name of the asset to the name which you want displayed, Set the Location check box to unchecked and then define the location as you would with a room.

(Extended Locator) Additional minimize on idle setting added to have the software minimize when idle time is detected instead of returning to the welcome screen.

(Extended Locator) Double-clicking on any map will signal an 'idle' and return to the welcome screen or minimize depending on the minimize on idle setting.

(Extended Locator) Locator Stub program (locstup.exe) which will maximize the locator if it is idle or launch it if it is not. The locator Stub stays running until idle time is detected.

(32 Bit, Extended, Graphic Analysis, Calendar Publishing) New date range control allow selection from a calendar in addition to descriptive date text.

(32 Bit and Extended) We are now shipping the 32 bit version of the software with Jetcomp.exe. This is a utility from Microsoft which is claimed to compact databases quickly and avoid problems that can occur with Access 97 and with the DAO CompactDatabase Method (the method used in the T&P Database Utilities). Microsoft recommends this utility be used instead of the other two methods. To use this utility to compact your T&P.MDB file you will have to specify some other name for the destination file (such as T&PX.MDB) and then after the utility is completed rename the files so that the newly compacted database is T&P.MDB.

(32 Bit and Extended) Bug in Quick Reports mislabeling organization contact and phone when organization profiles are included.

(32 Bit) Problem solved when enabling restrictions on areas, event types, or organizations when the item's (area, organization, event type) name consists of numbers only.

(Extended) Problem with setting asset costs solved

(Extended Locator) Problem with self-reservation using personal profile solved.

(Extended) Problem with printing work requests, (introduced in 2.0.37) fixed.

(32 Bit) The size of the row labels can be changed by using the mouse on the screen by clicking and dragging on the bar separating the row labels and the grid.

(32 Bit) Day and time labels are shifted slightly so that they appear over the line rather than over the space for improved readability.

(Extended) Time and Place Extended can now have multiple persons, rooms, organizations, etc. open at once. It is no longer necessary to close one select form in order to open up another one.

(Extended Locator) The print feature of the locator now includes the text label for the location and "You are Here" in addition to the red X and blue circle.

(32 Bit) Billing Module re-introduced. The billing module was a utility included with version 1.1 of Time and Place Extended. The re-introduced version is available either as a separate download or in the Misc folder of the CD. The new version allows grouping by criteria other than organization, allows time periods other than single months to be reported on, and allows e-mailing of the report output.

2.0.39 Bug Fixes, Time and Place Extended Only

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from 2.0.35 or earlier to 2.0.39 for regular users and when upgrading from 3.0.36 or earlier to 2.0.38 for extended users)

(RCFWD) Added feature to control the pause between keystrokes and between records. This may help with problems where the MCA adapter is sending digits faster than the phone switch is able to process them.

(Extended with Extended Locator) Fixed problem with setting of location levels in Time and Place extended that can result in having the location level set to null but misreported on the form as whichever value was set for the previously opened room.

2.0.40 Bug Fixes and Enhancements

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from 2.0.35 or earlier to 2.0.40 for regular users and when upgrading from 3.0.36 or earlier to 2.0.38 for extended users)

(32 Bit) Problem with 3 month calendars, introduced in 2.0.38, fixed.

(32 Bit) Problem with enabling log file fixed.

(Extended) One button Cancel feature added for truncating reservations that have already started. The cancel feature allows the reservation agent to add a comment note to the cancellation reflecting why the reservation was canceled.

(Extended) An option has been added to show the cancellation history in the person, organization or room detail form.

(32 Bit and Extended) Setup for 32 bit versions now gives the choice of installing the 16 bit compatible Access Version 2.0 format database or the 32 bit only Access 97 format database. The Access 97 format database has been shown to have fewer locking problems under the 32 bit version. However the 32 bit Access 97 database will not work with 16 bit Time and Place, Time and Place version 1.0 or 1.1, or Microsoft Access 2.0 or Access 95. If you are changing from the 16 to the 32 bit data files you will need to run the data update program no matter which version you are upgrading from.

(Extended Locator) If self-reservations have been enabled (including time of day and day of week) then users can also self-vacate their reserved rooms, either for the entire remaining portion or for part of it beginning immediately. As with self-reservations the user must provide their ID number.

(32 Bit) Multiline pop-ups added, allowing the pop up to include more than one (or all) of name, person, organization, and event type. (Users will likely have to re-define their pop-up choice in grid properties)

(32 bit and Extended) Print Preview option added on all 'direct code' reports (Quick Reports, Extended Daily Reports, Extended Work Request, Print Confirmation (Non-Crystal)) and so forth. The Print Preview option is available as a check box from the Printers Tab. The Preview windows is limited to reports of less than 256 pages. While the preview window allows for printing of either the current page or all pages the characters will not be as smooth as if printed directly to the printer.

2.0.41 Bug Fixes, Extended Only.

(Extended Only) Fixed a serious problem, introduced in 2.0.38, that caused the reservation form to misreport which rooms were available in many circumstances.

2.0.42 Bug Fixes, Minor Additional Features

(Calendar Publishing) Fixed bugs causing contact persons to not appear in certain exports and to better handle null values in some fields. Implemented transfer via ftp using internet transfer control rather than ftp program macro.

(32 Bit) Fixed administrative editing for changing start and end times. Spin buttons will work and the new times will not save if they will result in a reservation ending before it starts.

(32 Bit and Extended) Fixed "Item not found in this collection" errors on Notes by Category reports.

(32 Bit and Extended) Made data tables consistently use the tab key for grid navigation.

(Calendar Publishing) Implemented additional export format, User Defined Tab Delimited

(Extended, Remote Call Forward Automation) Added a 'retries' setting that will cause the program to send all changes twice or three times if desired, reducing the number of switch failed changes (since they would have to fail twice on the switch)

(Extended, Remote Call Forward Automation) Created a second Remote Call Forward Automation program (RCFWD2.EXE) that works with the Switchint.exe program in the same manner as DFx.exe. This allows the user to mix DFx and RCFWD on the same database and to have Remote Call Forward work as separate 'front end' and 'back end' processes.

2.0.43 Limited Release, Not Posted.

(Extended) Reintroduced the Self-Reservation System with front end that allows the user to select their name from the A-Z lists rather than having to enter it exactly.

(Extended) Fixed problem in setting locator levels for rooms and storage locations

(Calendar Publishing) Fixed "invalid file name or number" problems when saving to the root of a drive

(32Bit and Extended) Recoded Sessions Module to greatly reduce the occurrence of "Table is Locked by user Admin on Machine..." problems in this module. This should only affect sites with multiple simultaneous users When first upgrading to this release you may encounter "Licensed Number of Users Exceeded" messages. Run the Reset User Count option in Database Utilities if this occurs.

Added new time range control to simplify entry of active hours of operation for software modules.

(Extended Self Reservation) Added a limited form of Pick Rooms.

2.0.45 Bug Fixes, Improvements to Quick Reports.

(The Data Update utility will need to be run when upgrading from 2.0.35 or earlier to 2.0.45 for regular users and when upgrading from 3.0.36 or earlier to 2.0.45 for extended users)
